Sick of struggling with stuck grips? Found an "Electric" solution for the home workshop.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been doing my own regripping and club work for years, and while a standard bench vise works, I’ve always found that "popping" off old, stubborn grips or pulling heads can be a real pain—especially if you’re trying not to torque the graphite shafts too hard.

I recently came across an upgraded piece of kit that I haven't seen much of on the forums yet: The WOSOFE Electric Automatic Push Vise.

What makes it different? Unlike the manual clamps where you're doing all the pulling and pushing, this thing plugs into a 24V power supply. You clamp the shaft (it’s heavy-duty aluminum), hit a button, and it has an integrated "automatic push" feature that slides the grip or head off for you.

A few quick thoughts after testing it:

  • Shaft Safety: Because the push is mechanical and linear, there’s way less risk of "cracking" a graphite shaft compared to manual yanking.

  • Torque: It comes with a 72W adapter. It’s got plenty of kick for those old, dried-out grips that usually require a heat gun and a lot of swearing.

  • Setup: It’s a standard bench mount. 100-240V, so it works anywhere.

I’m curious—is anyone else moving toward motorized tools for their home setups, or are you all sticking to the classic manual rubber-insert vises? For me, the automation is a huge hand-saver after doing a full set of 13 clubs.

Happy to answer any questions about the specs if anyone is looking to upgrade their workbench!

Cheers.
